--------------------

STUDY STUDY STUDY, because it is not as easy as people make it outto be. SFA is a major University and take everything seriouslybecasue it can hurt you but it can also help you in the future. Startout early and get a good GPA to make it easier on yourself later on.

The most important lesson that I've learned at SFA is that youhave to study more than you ever did in high school. People alwaystold me that but I never really took it to heart. So my advice forincoming freshman would be that it is okay to go out and have fun,but it can't be your number one priority. College is lots of fun butin order to stay more than 1 semester you have to study, go to class, and make sure that you have taken care of everything you need to dobefore you go out. I also suggest talking to your professors. Youwill be suprised at how eager they are to work with you in order foryou to succeed.

The most important lesson that i have learned so far is i have tostudy to pass. I can't just go to class, sit there, take a few notesand expect to pass the test. i have to read the chapter, keepdetailed notes, and interact with my teachers and classmates to getthe most i can from the class. And for incoming freshman, i wouldjust tell them not to worry too much about grades, just study and goto class and things will happen the way you want them to usually atleast.

The most important lesson I've learned while being at SFA is youhave to have a good relationship with your parents, you will needthem later on in life! My advice to imcoming freshman is: GO TO THELIBRARY!!!

THE BEST ADIVCE I CAN GIVE TO INCOMMING FRESHMAN IS TO NOT TAKE AN8 O'CLOCK CLASS IF YOU CAN AT ALL HELP IT.

I would advise freshman to make check lists of things that need tobe done. The most important thing I have learned is to keepSunday-Wednesday nights to study and do work, because you say youwill do it on the weekends but it never happens. I would tellfreshman to get involved in things around campus because it makes thewhole transition thing easier.

The most important lesson I learned is one that was preached atorientation but took self-experience to learn --GO TO CLASS and GETTO KNOW YOUR PROESSOR -- while these seem like common sense in someclasses it takes some real effort. it may take a semester ortwo(hopefully just one) but that will help you in more ways than justunderstanding what the prof. is talking about everyday it could meanan A instead of a B or a pass instead of Failing.

CHRIS' TOP TEN MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THAT WERE LEARNED THISSEMESTER:
10. Go to class!
9. Get to know your professors.
8. Go to class!!
7. When the syllabus says "Read the chapter" - -then read thechapter!
6. Go to class!!!
5. Figure out that there actually 4 floors to the library; three ofwhich contain books!
4. Go to class!!!!
3. Get advised.
2. Go to class!!!!!
1. If you do not go to class, you will not pass!!!

The most important lesson I've learned here at SFA is to do thehomework when it is assigned. Don't wait until dead week to read thematerial assigned at the beginning of the semester. Make a scheduleof your study time, allow yourself breaks, and stick with it! Myadvise for incoming freshmen is don't worry about the amount of workyou've got. Prioritize and it will all come together.

The most important thing I have learned that has been stressedfrom day one is Student Involvement. I think if you are involvved inactivities it makes you want to succeed because you want to continuein your organization. You also meet life long friends in these thingson campus.

The most important thing that I have learned is that you have tostudy and do your homework because it is not high school and youwon't pass.

study study -- i can't let the party have more influence over myactions than what's important. advise--use this schoolsresources-AARC,LINC,ETC.

About the only advice i can give incoming freshmen is toSTUDY!!!!!!!!! Also if you don't go to your classes it will hurt youin the long run. Trust me i'm trying to make up for it by finals soi can pass those classes. I have also learned that it is not wise tosleep through your classes. Nope it is not a good idea it puts youway behind in those classes.

The most imprtant thing I learned was don't be shy and you canmake a lot of friends. The other thing is get out of little hometons or you will never leave. To in coming freshmen study enough topass but have time to enjoy college life, it's a lot of fun once youget used to it.

The most important lesson i've learned at SFA, though i had tolearn it the hard way, is don't party all the time, school comesfirst, fun comes next. Future freshmen, this is very good andreliable advice, it's very simple, don't sleep through your classes,no matter how comfy bed is, in the long run it's not worth it, i knowthis for a fact.
